Naomi SAFRAN-HON

Présentation

Naomi Safran-Hon (1984) est née à Oxford, en Angleterre, et a grandi à Haïfa, en Israël. Elle vit et travaille désormais à New York.  Safran-Hon a obtenu son BA Summa Cum Laude de l’université Brandeis, 2008 et une  une maîtrise des arts de l’école d’art de l'Université de Yale en 2010. Safran-Hon a fréquenté l’école de peinture et de sculpture Skowhegan en 2012, la résidence Art OMI en 2016 ou elle a reçu le Francis Greenburger Felloship et la résidence de LMCC 2019-2020.  En 2020, elle a reçu le Colene Brown Art Prize.
 

 

 

Le travail de Safran-Hon combine des photographies d'architecture et de paysages qu'elle réalise, qu'elle mélange avec du ciment et de la dentelle, des barbelés transformant ces images en peintures mixtes. Son travail étudie les concepts de foyer, de domesticité, et de guerre.
