Katsuhiko Matsubara

Katsuhiko Matsubara est né en 1986 à Tokyo, au Japon.
Inspiré par la nature, les apparences primitives, la mythologie, l'anthropologie et la morphologie, Matsubara cherche à créer dans ses peintures des écosystèmes artistiques et fictifs dans lesquels coexistent une multitude de possibilités formelles et interprétatives.
Il vit et travaille à Berlin. En 2021, il obtient un diplôme de peinture dans la classe d'Anselm Reyle à la HFBK de Hambourg. En 2019, il a participé au programme international d'atelier de la Künstlerhaus Bethanien Berlin avec la subvention de la Yoshino Gypsum Art Foundation. En 2021, il a été nommé pour le prix de la Rainer Wild Art Foundation.
